The Cytotoxic Clean Room is a clean room designed for cytotoxic sterile medication manufacturing, including intravenous chemotherapy. The room should maintain negative relative pressure and must be accessed via an Anteroom and airlock.

Design Considerations include:
- Electronic interlock door system should be provided to prevent the opening of both doors in the Anteroom at the same time
- Handwashing facilities should be provided immediately outside the Aseptic (Clean) Rooms in the adjoining Anteroom. Hand basins are not to be located within the Clean Room
- An intercom system should be provided between Clean Room and Anteroom
- High-resolution CCTV cameras for remote monitoring should be provided
- The facility must comply with the room requirements set forth in relevant International Clean Room standards for sterile and cytotoxic manufacturing
- Work benches are to be freestanding and in stainless steel. Stainless steel trolleys can be provided for minimal storage
