| Description / Special Requirements | The Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) Room provides a controlled environment, privacy and facilities for carrying out treatments in two individual rigid pressure vessels or chambers which are able to deliver 100% oxygen. HBOT may be used for treatment of air embolism, decompression sickness, gas gangrene and carbon monoxide poisoning. The room will be directly connected to a toilet/s with changing facilities including lockers. Special Design Consideration - Floor finish must be anti-static - Sealed ceiling must be provided - tile ceiling is to be avoided. - No fluorescent lighting to be provided in room. - Fire suppression system to be installed as per manufacturer's requirements - Separate air vents required for each HBOT chamber for maintenance of Infection Control - Sensor taps, if installed, should be connected to essential power supply.
