Description / Special Requirements The Operating Room - Hybrid - CT provides an aseptic environment in which to carry out surgical procedures under local, regional or general anaesthetic. The room will adjoin the CT Scanning Room. The CT Gantry will move between the OR and the CT on floor tracks. The Operating Room - Hybrid is used for surgical procedures that require large and bulky equipment, including Neurosurgery. Cardiac Protected electrical area Special Air Conditioning - HEPA filtration Additional Design Considerations: - Minimum critical dimension 6000mm on at least 1 side. - 'Laser In Use' warning lights may be required outside all exit doors to room if laser equipment is to be used - Lead shielding will be required; to be assessed by Radiation Consultant - External windows are desirable - double glazed with integral Venetian blinds - Provide isolated power supply individually to each large Operating Room, together with its associated line isolation and overload monitors
