| Description / Special Requirements | A combined emergency shower and eyewash facility to provide an immediate, high-volume output of water to flush eyes and skin after chemical contamination. This bay should be located so that it is readily accessible from laboratories and any work area where a risk of chemical contamination is identified. An appropriate drainage system is to be installed for excess water with consideration given to contaminated waste waster. A highly visible sign is to be provided. |
