| Description / Special Requirements | The Radiotherapy Simulator room will accommodate a simulator which will duplicate the beam geometry of the medical linear accelerator. The Simulator is used in treatment planning to localise the treatment field. The Simulator uses low level X-rays, and therefore radiation sheilding will be required. A Control Room will be located adjacent to the Simulator Room. Additional Design Requirements: - Radiation sheilding to walls and glazing as advised by Radiation Consultant - Laser positioning lights will be required to manufacturer's details - 'X-ray in Use' Warning lights will be required at room entrance Body Protected electrical area |
