| Description / Special Requirements | The Aseptic Room is a clean room designed for sterile medication manufacturing, including intravenous fluid. The room should maintain positive relative pressure and must be accessed via an Anteroom and airlock. Body Protected electrical area Design Considerations include: - Electronic interlock door system should be provided to prevent the opening of both doors in the Anteroom at the same time - Handwashing facilities should be provided immediately outside the Aseptic (Clean) Rooms in the adjoining Anteroom. Hand basins are not to be located within the Aseptic (Clean) Rooms - An intercom system should be provided between Aseptic (Clean) Room and Anteroom - High-resolution CCTV cameras for remote monitoring should be provided - The facility must comply with the room requirements set forth in relevant International Clean Room standards for sterile manufacturing - Work benches are to be freestanding and in stainless steel. Stainless steel trolleys can be provided for minimal storage |
