| Description / Special Requirements | The Cytotoxic Clean Room is a clean room designed for cytotoxic sterile medication manufacturing, including intravenous chemotherapy. The room should maintain negative relative pressure and must be accessed via an Anteroom and airlock. Body Protected electrical area Design Considerations include: - Electronic interlock door system should be provided to prevent the opening of both doors in the Anteroom at the same time - Handwashing facilities should be provided immediately outside the Aseptic (Clean) Rooms in the adjoining Anteroom. Hand basins are not to be located within the Clean Room - An intercom system should be provided between Clean Room and Anteroom - High-resolution CCTV cameras for remote monitoring should be provided - The facility must comply with the room requirements set forth in relevant International Clean Room standards for sterile and cytotoxic manufacturing - Work benches are to be freestanding and in stainless steel. Stainless steel trolleys can be provided for minimal storage |
