Description / Special Requirements Operating Room/ Procedures Room for minor surgical or endoscopic procedures under local, regional or general anaesthetic in an aseptic environment. A clinical scrub basin or sink will be located immediately outside the room. Clean-up, scrub and Set-up rooms may be located in close proximity. Cardiac Protected electrical area Special Air Conditioning - HEPA filtration Additional Design Considerations: - 'Laser/XRay in use' warning lights may be required outside all exit doors to room if laser/XRay equipment is to be used - Lead shielding may be required depending on use of X-ray equipment; to be assessed by Radiation Authority - External windows desirable
