| Description / Special Requirements | Imaging Room for SPECT & CT scanning procedures using a SPECT/CT hybrid camera system with an adjacent Control Room and Computer Room. The Control Room may serve two Scanning rooms simultaneously. Acoustics: Acoustic privacy is required Body Protected electrical area Additional Design Considerations: - Radiation shielding as advised by Radiation Consultant - Cable ducts between Control Room and Computer Room may be required - 'X-ray in Use' lights are required outside each entry door - Uninterruptible power supply is required to the cameras and associated computer modules to prevent data loss and/or damage during power surges or loss of supply. - Individual room temperature and humidity control is required. - Lighting should be placed to avoid lights shining directly into the patient's eyes and should be dimmable. |
