| Description / Special Requirements | The Radiotherapy Bunker room will contain a medical linear accelerator used used primarily to treat cancer. The Linear Accelerator uses a high energy radiation beam to localise treatment on a tumour. Radiation sheilding will be required, most commonly concrete is used as the primary sheilding material. A Control Room will be located next to to the Bunker Room. Additional Design Requirements: - Radiation sheilding to walls and glazing as advised by Radiation Consultant - Laser positioning lights will be required to manufacturers details - 'Beam on' Warning lights will be required at room entrance Body Protected electrical area |
